The Black Innovation at Elevate, hosted by the Black Founders Network, was a standout at the influential Elevate Conference, a top tech festival in Canada. The event showcased brilliant ideas and innovations from talented entrepreneurs, fostering change, progress, inclusivity, and diversity in the industry.
The Federation of Black Canadians also had a booth to share its latest initiatives, projects, and future plans, offering attendees a chance to learn about the organization and connect with others.
The event had two main parts:
- Investor Zone Roundtable (Wednesday, September 28th, 10:30 am – 12:30 pm): This session brought together Black founders looking for investment with investors and industry experts. It addressed the unique challenges and opportunities facing Black founders in the tech sector, creating networking opportunities and potential business growth.
- Black Innovation Zone Mixer (Thursday, September 28th, 4-6 pm): This evening mixer provided a platform to connect with influential figures in Black tech. Attendees engaged in conversations and networking with Black tech entrepreneurs, influencers, and innovators while enjoying music, drinks, and appetizers.
The events took place at St. Lawrence Centre, 27 Front St. E in Toronto and registration was open to Elevate attendees and non-attendees. Together we were able to provide over 150 people with access to all three days of this terrific conference and we absolutely packed out our mixer on Thursday
