Join us at the Annual General Meeting of the Federation of Black Canadians (FBC). Every year, the Federation of Black Canadians (FBC) organizes a significant event—the Annual General Meeting (AGM). This Year’s AGM takes place over Zoom at 8pm EST/5pm PST. This meeting provides an opportunity for FBC members to come together and actively contribute to the governance of our organization. We are excited to invite all FBC members to join us at this important gathering. To Attend the Zoom register here.
What to Expect at the AGM:
During the AGM, members will have the chance to receive comprehensive updates on the progress and achievements of the Federation of Black Canadians. In addition, attendees will have access to the annual impact report, which highlights the positive impact FBC has had in various areas.
As a paid member of the Federation of Black Canadians, you will also have the invaluable opportunity to cast your vote on specific matters. Each member is entitled to one vote, allowing you to directly influence the decisions and direction of the organization. Furthermore, the AGM is an ideal platform for members to provide valuable feedback and actively contribute to FBC’s activities for the year ahead.
Important Voting Eligibility Information:
It is crucial to note that only paid members who have registered between January 1st, 2023 and November 23rd, 2023, are entitled to vote at the AGM.
How to Participate in the AGM:
To attend the AGM, individuals must become members of the Federation of Black Canadians. If you are a general member or part of the public, you can still participate in the AGM, however you will not be able to vote. Paid members will be eligible to vote at the meeting and actively participate in the AGM proceedings.
