The Black Entrepreneurship Program (BEP) has closed registration for Cohort 2. Aspiring black entrepreneurs can still register for cohort 3 here. The program, aims to support the growth and success of Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs, providing them with access to funding, mentorship, and resources to help them succeed.
The BEP is a partnership between the Government of Canada and Black-led business organizations, such as FBC. We have partnered with The Black Founders Network (BFN) and the University of Toronto Scarborough to deliver this program. Participants will join the 4 month entrepreneur program delivered virtually through cohorts of 24 participants to boost collaboration and creativity. They will also participate in a 12-month mentorship program that offers 1-on-1 mentoring leaders from the Black community and be able to pitch they’re idea having a chance to win $5000 in grant to help kickstart their business. We are proud to have designed a program to address systemic barriers that Black entrepreneurs face when starting and growing their businesses.
While registration for Cohort 2 is now closed, entrepreneurs can still register for Cohort 3. The BEP is committed to supporting Black entrepreneurs across Canada, providing them with the resources they need to succeed.
