Black-Mandated Funding Framework

The Black-Mandated Funding Framework addresses funding gaps for Toronto’s Black-led, Black-serving, and Black-focused (B3) organizations. With $1.69 million available in 2024, the program supports sustainable growth by funding community services, operational capacity, and infrastructure development. Grassroots and emerging organizations can apply for up to $35,000, plus $5,000 for capacity-building support. Established organizations can also apply for up to $35,000 for one of two years (2025 or 2025-26). Applicants must meet eligibility requirements and apply through Toronto’s Grants, Rebates, and Incentives Portal (TGRIP).

Deadline for application

The application deadline is Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 3 PM.

Ontario Trillium Foundation Grow Grant

The Grow Grant offers multi-year funding to help established community projects expand their reach and impact. Designed for programs with proven success, this grant supports efforts to scale up, improve, or adapt services to better meet community needs. Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) invests in projects that build healthy, vibrant communities, focusing on initiatives that create meaningful, lasting change.

Deadline for application

The application deadline is Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 5 PM ET.

Law Foundation of Ontario – Responsive Call for Applications

The Law Foundation of Ontario is accepting applications for its 2024 Responsive program. This grant offers up to $250,000 over two years to nonprofits, charities, and Indigenous groups working to enhance access to justice in Ontario. The funding supports legal education, research, and programs that address gaps in the justice system, particularly for underserved populations.

Racialized and Indigenous Supports for Entrepreneurs (RAISE) Grant Program

Racialized and Indigenous Supports for Entrepreneurs (RAISE) is a grant program (2024-25) that will provide access to business development training, culturally responsive and tailored business coaching, networking opportunities, and a one-time grant of $10,000 to support Indigenous, Black and other racialized entrepreneurs.
