Amplify Your Black History Month Event with the Federation of Black Canadians

Jan 6, 2026

Black History Month is a time to celebrate, educate, and uplift our communities across Canada. This February, the Federation of Black Canadians (FBC) is opening our platforms to spotlight the impactful programs, workshops, panels, and events led by our Black Builders.

We are kicking off BHM with our own Black Leadership Breakfast and hope to see community members there but we want to also amplify the voices of our community members!

If you’re organizing an event or running a program for Black History Month, we want to help you reach a wider audience.

Get Featured on Our Website & Social Media

Throughout Black History Month, FBC will be highlighting community-led initiatives across our website and social media channels. This is a free opportunity to:

  • Increase visibility for your event or program
  • Reach a national audience engaged in Black community building
  • Be part of a collective celebration of Black excellence, leadership, and impact

Who Can Apply?

This opportunity is open to Black Builders—non-profits, charities, community groups, and Black-led initiatives—running events or programs during Black History Month.

To qualify, you must be signed up as a Free Black Builder member.

How to Submit Your Event

  1. Sign up as a Free Black Builder (if you’re not already registered)
  2. Submit your event details using the form below
  3. Our team will review submissions and feature selected events throughout Black History Month
