The Black Innovation at Elevate portion (Hosted by the Black Founders Network) is a highlight of the Elevate Conference, one of the most influential tech festivals in Canada. It is where some of the brightest ideas and innovations from some of the most talented entrepreneurs will be showcased. The event will inspire change and progress in the industry and promote inclusivity and diversity.

Our organization, the Federation of Black Canadians, will have a booth at this year’s conference, where we’ll be sharing our latest initiatives, new projects, and future plans. Come and learn about our organization and make meaningful connections with other attendees.

There are two portions of the Black Innovation at Elevate portion.

Investor Zone Roundtable:  Wednesday, September 28th, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm

Black Innovation Zone Mixer: Thursday, September 28th, from 4-6 pm

Both events will be held at St. Lawrence Centre, 27 Front St. E in Toronto.

Investor Zone Roundtable: This roundtable brings together select Black founders seeking VC, Angel, and Institutional capital with investors and industry experts for discussions on the unique challenges and opportunities that face Black founders in the tech industry. This is an excellent opportunity to connect with industry insiders and discuss potential opportunities that can help grow your business.

Black Innovation Zone Mixer: The mixer is an opportunity to connect with leading Black voices in tech. Enjoy an evening of conversations and networking with Black tech entrepreneurs, influencers, and innovators over music, drinks, appetizers, and meet business professionals from across the globe. This study highlights the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on Black communities in Canada, revealing high infection severity, stigma, and long recovery times.
