Participate in a Research Study on Black Entrepreneurship in Canada

May 15, 2024

FBC is collaborating with Dunn Pierre Barnett and Company Limited (DPBA), Canada’s largest Black research firm, on a research study focusing on Black Entrepreneurship in Canada.

Led by Dr. Gerald Grant from Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business in collaboration with the Black Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub (BEKH). This study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of Black entrepreneurship across Canada.

Your participation will help us establish a clearer picture of Black entrepreneurship in Canada, shedding light on diverse experiences and challenges faced by Black entrepreneurs. There are over 144,000 Black businesses in Canada and approximately 27,000 black employers. Therefore, collecting data on these businesses will be valuable and insightful to the Black population and policymakers in Canada.

With your input, we can advocate for policies, programs, and resources that better support and empower Black-owned businesses nationwide.

Participation is voluntary, and we understand that your time is valuable. However, your contribution will be invaluable in shaping the future of Black entrepreneurship in Canada. We recommend finding a quiet space with a stable internet connection to complete the questionnaire, which should take approximately 20 minutes.
