FIRST Pitch competition was a success!!
On January 25th, FBC held its first pitch competition for the pilot cohorts of the Black Entrepreneurship Program funded by FED DEV Canada Southern Ontario. 12 competitors had 2.5 minutes to pitch their businesses to a panel of 5 judges and over 75 people over zoom. The top winning pitches would go on to win $5000 dollars of funding to help grow their business. The audience also had the opportunity to provide their input and voted for the Peoples Choice Award- providing $2500 in funding for the audience’s favorite pitch.
